" Carmen Amaya.
1963", 100 pages of texts and photographs devoted to the last months in the life
of the dancer Carmen Amaya, a portrait of a year of art and dancing surrounded
by the health problems of the artist.
The book is divided
in four parts " Taranta, Agosto, Luto y Ausencia" (Taranta, -the name of a "palo"
of style of flamenco songs- , August, Mourning and Absence).

Colita,
Photographer, born in Barcelona, she first meets Carmen Amaya during the filming
of the movie de "Los Tarantos", when Colita is working in her first professional
job as a photographer. Colita has published more than 20 books of photography.
Julio Ubiña,
photographer born in Santander, Spain, spent most of his professional career in
Barcelona. His photographs illustrated Cela's book "El toreo de salón"
and also one of the editions of Lorca's "Poeta en Nueva York".
Francisco Hidalgo,
born in Posadas (Córdoba), lives since 1974 in Cornellá de Llobregat
(Barcelona) where,
besides his didactic labors, has worked in many different cultural projects, a
well known flamencologist, has conducted Flamenco seminars and is the director
of the "Festival Flamenco de Cornellá ". Francisco is the author of books
about such flamenco artists as Carmen Amaya and Fosforito.
