PATRICIA IBÁNEZ
Born in Jerez she began her dance career studying with dancers
Cristóbal "El Jerezano", Juan Parra and Ana Mª López
with whom she later formed part of the group "Semilla Flamenca".
With this and other groups she debuted at the Teatro Villamarta
in Jerez and with "Difusión del Flamenco" she toured the small
towns of the Cádiz mountain range. In the 1992 World's Fair she was at
the "Tierras de Jerez" pavillion and was invited to Marseille's theater
"Maison de L'Estranger".
She debuted on her own in Jerez in the "Viernes Flamencos"
under her own direction and with original choreography enjoying a solid success
which lead to her participation in later editions.
She went on to debut in Potsdam (Germany), and from there in Fukuoka
(Japan) where she not only performed but also gave classes at several specialized
centers.
Upon returning to Jerez she participated in two editions of the
Festival de la Bulería and in Andalusia's major festivals.
She was guest artist with guitarist and composer Paco Cepero for
a tour of Germany with the show "Festival Gitano" winding up in her
hometown for the closing of the "Fiestas de Otoño".
She was also invited by Manuel Morao's company to be soloist for
several shows, as well as by dancer Sara Baras.
With Antonio el Pipa's company she debuted at Seville's Festival
de Itálica and continued in the works "Baila Jerez", "Vivencias",
"Gipsy Caravan II" and "Trilogía".
