Enrique Morente is the leader of flamenco experimentalism, it is well known his capacity to recover old styles combining them with new tendencies. He can sing the eldest palos without any accompaniment, as he did on his performance at the “Auditorio Nacional” in Madrid, (Wednesday, 30th May 97) or become the frontman of a Punk-rock band, three weeks later in a rock auditorium (22nd May 97, Omega Tour).

It is this combination of innovation, tempered with respect for tradition, that has earned him critical acclaim throughout Spain.

Morente has been playing for the last years with musicians of “La Barbería del Sur” :Paquete, Negri and David Amaya.

In this song the interaction between Amaya’s electric guitar and Morente’s voice is a successful example of the musical challenges Morente is interested in. David Amaya is currently working with the dance company “Fragua Futura”, recording the upcoming record of “La Barbería del Sur” and playing in the new Enrique Morente’s Tour “Omega”.
