The singer Carmen Linares opens this flamenco Christmas concert,
a live recording of the show performed at the Teatro monumental de Madrid on December
94 and broadscasted for 21 European radio stations during the Euro-radio Day 1994. “El Romance Pascual de los Peregrinitos”
is one of the spanish popular songs that the poet Federico García Lorca
included in his recording of 1931, in this concert Carmen Linares
also plays “ La Nana de Sevilla”, another song compiled by Lorca
in that record.

Carmen
Linares is accompanied by a group that includes the flute and the violin
of the Juan y Bernardo Parrilla brothers, two
flamenco musicians that have played with Joaquín
Cortés in his “Gypsy passion” tour.
The concert is divided in three
parts, the first is sung by Carmen Linares, the second by José
Menese and the last by the “Caja de San Fernando y de Jerez Carol Choir”.
