Flamenco continues at the 2011 Córdoba Guitar Festival. After the opening gala by Vicente Amigo and his orchestral work 'Poet', flamenco dancing came to the Gran Teatro. The dancer Javier Barón presented his latest production 'Vaivenes'. The show, which has already been performed in forums such as the Festival de Jerez and Seville Biennial, recreates a childhood trip from Alcalá de Guadaíra to Morón de la Frontera in Seville. And it gives rise to recreate the art of the great flamenco names of that region such as Juan Talega, Bernardo el de los Lobitos, Platero de Alcalá, La Roezna and the spontaneity of flamenco of that moment. On stage, the National Dance Prize 2008's winner was accompanied by artists as dancers Carmelilla Montoya, Ana Morales and David Perez, singers Miguel Ortega, David Palomar and Jesús Méndez, guitarists Rafael Rodríguez and Javier Patino, Raúl Rodríguez on Cuban tres, Alexis Lefèvre on violin and Juan Ruiz on percussion. The tuition area also breaths flamenco, as the dance course by Inmaculada Aguilar and the guitar one by Manolo Sanlúcar have already started.
