Flamenco guitar shows its mastery in the 2011 Córdoba Guitar Festival. Víctor Monge 'Serranito' presented the concert ‘My sound in time’ at the Gran Teatro on July 13th. The veteran musician and composer recreated a selection of masterpieces from his musical career. He was accompanied on stage by María Toledo on voice and piano, singer Eva Durán, Cary Rosa Varona on cello, Paco Vidal on second guitar, Julián Vaquero on guitar and bass, and Víctor Monge Jr. on percussion. Parallel to the live performances the festival’s flamenco courses continue with teachers such as dancers Antonio el Pipa and Rocío Molina, and singer Arcángel, that is offering the workshop ‘The rhythm in cante’. The section of live flamenco closes on Saturday July 14th with the show ‘Calé’ by Joaquín Cortés.
