"Se Busca", Joaquín el Canastero's new recording
Free
download in MP3: Llama de candela viva
After years of searching, flamenco has salvaged the sixty-something
singer Joaquín Carmona, El Canastero. "Se Busca" is the first
solo recording of one of the composers of Camaron's circle,
the person who created for José Monje such works as the bulerías
'Con roca y pedernal' included in Rosa María (1976): "A la
orilla de un río, yo me voy solo y yo me pongo a coger varetas..."

Joaquín
Carmona (1936), born in a cane-field in Málaga, makes his recording debut in Se
Busca, a title which infers his nomadic leanings. The record is presented as an
eclectic collection, oblivious to fashion, flirting with bolero, rumba or tangos.
A work born of the bohemian spirit of a man who lives in the mountains, alone
and in freedom, in harmony with nature, who enjoys recalling his afternoons by
the river with Camarón, a man who lives for cante grande, but gets excited about
Tom Jones... Joaquín el Canastero, 'Se Busca' [is searching] and now finds himself
at Flamenco-world.com where we offer 'Llama de candela viva', the song from his
record that won't be out until November, an exclusive free download. .
