The 2008 Festival de Jerez publishes its
program of flamenco dance courses

Enrolment starts on 3rd September 2007

Flamenco-world.com, July 2007

The biggest school of flamenco dance is already focused on 2008. The 2008 Festival de Jerez has published its range of courses for the eleventh edition of the event, with a total of 32 courses and 900 places. From 22nd February to 8th March, several academies around the center of Jerez will be filled with students from all over the world, itching to get to grips with the artform or perfect their skills at the hands of the elite band of teachers. On this occasion some new faces have been added to the list of instructors, such as Alicia Márquez, Olga Pericet, Pilar Ogalla, Manuel Liñán, Domingo Ortega and Ángel Muñoz, to name but a few. And of course there'll still be the diehard veterans like Matilde Coral, Manolo Marín and Merche Esmeralda, as well as younger maestros of the ilk of Rafaela Carrasco, Belén Maya and Javier Latorre. The courses will be divided into two blocks of one week each, with several time slots and four levels. As a sweetener, tickets to the shows at Teatro Villamarta are thrown in free with registration for the courses.
