‘El baile flamenco’ by Manuel Salado with Lalo Tejada. Special Feature

The didactic collection ‘El baile flamenco’ launches eleven new DVDs for advanced-level students

Flamenco-world.com, November 2005

Just like in the first installment for the beginner's and intermediate levels, the lessons can be followed in Spanish, English, French and Japanese, from different perspectives: complete baile with wardrobe, full-body exercises and footwork technique. Each DVD is accompanied by a CD with the music and sound of the footwork. These volumes can already be purchased at Flamenco-world.com separately or as a complete collection at a special price.

There are substantial changes at this level compared to the beginner's level. The bailes are longer in duration and the exercises are even more detailed. The choreographies are also longer and further developed at the tablao, for this installment of the collection is of greater magnitude. Lalo Tejada has added arm exercises, fan exercises and shawl exercises. To make things clearer, the explanations commented in four languages are more developed, which is complemented with the extension of the glossary. The study of sevillanas, high in demand by pupils, takes up an entire volume, number 21, which nearly supposes a complete course. At the same time, the course in general is dedicated to both men and women, with specific explanations for each case.
