It
was the turn of the guitar playing of Paco Javier Jimeno at the Mosque. Elegant
and modern "por alegrias", but sometimes abusing his impeccable technique when
he dives into the most speedy staccatos "por tarantas" and into the rhythms of
his native region Malaga. Comfortable with the rhythms of the "buleria por solea",
in the tango and rumba of so many notes he feels the weight of the influence of
Paco, of which he is later liberated in the "bulerias" alternating with Diego
del Gastor the melodies of "Inspector Gadget" and of the "Pink Panther".
Curiosly
enough, Jimeno and Rafael de Carmen were the winners of the "Concurso de
Jovenes Interpretes of the latest Bienal", a threesome (with an album to
their credit) which is completed with the performance of the next day of the cantaora
Melchora Ortega.
