TIRITITRÁNS
Canales, in the
role of a sparkling flamenco David Copperfield, with his "Stardust Cinderella".
He sprinkled his
magical stardust as he raised his top hat as if he was standing upon a podium.
There was a smell
of kitsch chromatism, with that dusted brilliance added to the sweat.
The sparkling of
the dance of Canales, that "ferial ogre", that "scarecrow":
Definitions of the modern artist according to Octavio Paz.
The modern-day
man is iconic, and so is flamenco dancing. It wants idols like Canales.
A coming back to
Max Nordau, 1879: "When the andalusian really wants to have fun, with style
and chic fashion, he makes an effort to get the gypsies to participate".
We also ha the
dancing of schoolgirls.
And at times the
footwork of heavy shoes and ballet shoes as well.
That flamenco artist
made a triangle with his arms for the photographs and saw that the coat of success
is not too big for him.
On the other hand,
Piñana, who with his beautiful voice penetrated the sparkle of the "alegrías"
and came out more cautiously, stylizing the "cante" of Levante.
Which is the spiral
of the flamenco cante? The "caracoles".
