A FUTURIST PIANO FOR AN "INFINITY OF FORMS"

"Infinidad de formas" (An infinity of forms)

When Pedro Ricardo Miño was finally left alone on the stage of Mont-de-Marsan's Espace François Mitterand, it was already the second part of the show. The malagueña of Mellizo took form in the vocal chords of Enrique Soto Sordera piercing like an arrow the hearts of the more than one thousand spectators who were present for the last show of the Miño-Montes family. "We're going to pay tribute to Pablo Sarasate with a zapateado for piano and Indian drums". Pedro and El Pájaro got on the same wave-length while they had a good time and let themselves get carried away by the music. The piece has great quality and the audience showed its appreciation by stomping. The young men smiled in satisfaction although they continued to be wrapped up in what they were doing. The bulerías took shape in the patriarch's guitar which let loose some Niño Ricardo falsetas. Earlier he had played soleá with an original composition called Castillo de Alcalá. Pedro answered back on the piano with a couple of verses of popular Spanish song, and one remembered Arturo Pavón. Go for it boy! A symbolic tug-of-war por bulerías between El Bobote and El Eléctrico left the flavor of the Tres Mil neighborhood with some very flamenco dance bits. Pepa Montes reached the limits of her expression with a caña. Segundo Falcón led the dancer to the land of Joaquín el de la Paula where she could stroll around the stage in her bata de cola.

To wrap up, the more than ten minutes of applause forced the musicians to come out for a curtain call so that Pepa could take even the stage director out to dance before finally gathering up her group. So, we'll have to be on the lookout for how one of the youngest flamenco pianists evolves to see if he keeps the same pace he's been maintaining so far. In fact, if he keeps to the line he has been following up to now, it's possible that in a short time he'll be at the forefront.
