Fernando Pessoa (Portugal 1888-1947)
wrote: "The cuadra (Portuguese popular song form)
is a vase of flowers in the window of the soul of the
Portuguese people." This most admired
Portuguese poet worked for a long time compiling
popular songs like the poet
Manuel Machado did in Spain. Vicente Soto
sings nine of these Pessoa poems, assisted by
his brother, the composer and guitarist José
Soto, one of the founding members of the group
"Ketama".
