Seville's Biennial Flamenco Festival is ready to go. The macrofestival has a program of parallel activities of the highest quality. From now until 10th October 2008, it includes courses, exhibitions, movies and performances. This edition sees the participation of all three of Seville's universities, with offerings such as the third installment of the course ‘Flamenco artists speak about themselves’, featuring María Pagés, José Mercé and Gerardo Núñez, among other artists. As for the live flamenco, there'll be outstanding performances by promising newcomers at La Alameda de Hércules, all-nighters at the peñas and showcases at the FNAC Forum. The most talked-about exhibition at the fifteenth festival is destined to be that of photographer Ruven Afanador, whose work features on the poster.
