Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla
2010 rounds off the program with its schedule of parallel
activities
Exhibitions, seminars and OFF-festival performances are
added to the schedule

Flamenco is not only in theaters.
The 2010 Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla set a full program
of parallel activities to the lineup of performances. Photographic
exhibitions, educational sessions, young flamenco live showcases
and the off-festival program are the highlights.

From 10th to 12th September, will take
place the series '+ Young, + Flamenco' as an outdoors program
in the Alameda de Hercules that brings together novel artists
such as Luisa Palicio, Rosario Amador and Moi de Morón,
among others. Flamenco Dance Museum and Forum FNAC also
schedule samples of live flamenco during the festival. The
educational offer includes university courses as the one
about 'La escuela sevillana de baile flamenco' at Pablo
de Olavide University, the series ‘Flamenco artists
speak about themselves’ at International University
of Andalusia and the second congress of ‘Interdisciplinary
Research and Flamenco’ at Seville University.
Lectures and talks on topics like the origin
of the bulería and seminars such as 'Communication,
Flamenco and New Technologies’, organized by the Association
of Cultural Journalists of Andalusia, are added to this
program. There will be also presentations of records and
books, as well as photography and painting exhibitions,
including the cycle of works of contemporary art and flamenco
'Intervalo' and the 'Unusual Images' by Félix Vázquez
based on Israel
Galván works. The off-festival brings
together the initiatives that, around the festival, are
proposed by schools, peñas and clubs of the city.
