Joaquín Cortés stars in the flamenco lineup of the 31st Córdoba Guitar Festival
Rocío Molina, Javier Barón and Serranito also make up the program · The festival is to be held from July 5th to 16th on several stages in Córdoba

Flamenco’s agenda for the season is filling up with important events. The Córdoba Guitar Festival has reserved extensive space for baile and toque, as is reflected in the first peek at the program of the thirty-first edition of the Córdoba festival. The organizers -Gran Teatro & IMAE- confirm the performances of Joaquín Cortés with the show ‘Calé’, the Javier Barón Company with ‘Vaivenes’, bailaora Rocío Molina - winner of the 2010 National Dance Prize - with a newly-created show as well as veteran guitarist Víctor Monge ‘Serranito’ with the concert ‘Mi sonido en el tiempo’. Highlighting other genres are the performances of John McLaughlin, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, the Orquesta de Córdoba paying tribute to Saramago and the group ZZ Top, among others. The live music and dance are complemented with an intense training program highlighted by courses such as the flamenco guitar ones directed by Manolo Sanlúcar, the baile one by Javier Latorre and the cante one by Arcángel (further information and registration).
