La Moneta and Rafael Estévez form a duo to inaugurate the flamenco showcase Veranos del Corral 2009

The festival is to be held from July 20th to August 14th at Granada’s Corral del Carbón

Fuensanta la Moneta and Rafael Estévez, side by side. The flamenco showcase Veranos del Corral 2009 kicks off with this two-fold baile show. With the beautiful Al-Andalusian corn exchange as the setting, the eleventh edition of this festival in Granada is to be held from July 20th to August 14th. Baile by young talents will continue to be its core, with performances such as those of Olga Pericet, Leonor Leal, Andrés Peña, Pastora Galván and Ramón Martínez, among others. Moreover, cante and guitar gain importance this year. The voices of La Susi and Mariana Cornejo as well as toque by Miguel Ángel Cortés and Alfredo Lagos will also sound this summer at the Nazarite monument. The offer of live shows will be complemented with a training program which includes courses by Manuel Liñán, La Moneta and Patricia Guerrero at the Centro Cultural Memoria de Andalucía.
