Belén Maya opens the 2011 Veranos del Corral’s flamenco dancing showcase in Granada
Isabel Bayón, Marcedes Ruiz and Rafaela Carrasco also perform during the first week of performances

Veranos del Corral starts a new season. The dancer Belén Maya presents her new show 'Three', a minimalistic proposition in which she bets on the basic format of flamenco: dancing, singing, guitar playing and clapping. The appointment is the night of July 18th at the Corral del Carbón in Granada. In this production, that has already been presented at forums like Nîmes Flamenco Festival and the Festival de Jerez, are involved the guitarist Rafael Rodríguez, the singer Jesús Méndez and Felipe Mato on hand-clapping. The show's program, with stage direction by David Montero and light design by Ada Bonadei, includes styles like zambra, fandangos, alegrías, soleá por bulerías and a tour from tangos to Cartagenera. The artist describes it as “a minimalist show in which the starring is the jondo singing”. During that first week of the series, devoted to the todays’s female flamenco dance, the stage will be taken, night after night, by Isabel Bayón, Mercedes Ruiz and Rafaela Carrasco. Theschedule offers, until 11th August, seventeen days of performances in the historical Granada’s alhóndiga.
