Joaquín
Cortés' tour with ‘Mi soledad’ (‘My
Solitude’) in Brazil is going to be the culture medium
for a documentary film by Spike Lee. ‘Fusion’,
an encounter between flamenco and Afro-Brazilian music,
is to be shot from September 25th to October 10th. Besides
the Spanish bailaor, taking part in the film by the director
of ‘Malcolm X’ and ‘25th Hour’ will
be Brazilian musicians of the likes of Caetano Veloso and
Bebel Gilberto. The shooting is to be done within the international
tour Joaquín Cortés goes on in 2005, with
a new version of ‘Live’. Audiences will be able
to see the artist in cities such as Lisbon, Oporto and Moscow,
before closing the year in Japan and Korea.
