Tangos de Arena. Dedicated to Enrique Morente

Flamenco-world.com now offers you a sneak preview in audio and opens advanced online sale of the first solo album by David Lagos, ‘El espejo en que me miro’, which is to be released on October 19th. The Jerez-born cantaor, a real reference of today’s flamenco cante, premieres at the studios with a collection of scores of his own in which, side by side with prestigious guitarist Alfredo Lagos, he pays “a creative tribute” to the maestros who have inspired his solid career, from Enrique Morente to La Paquera. He has exceptional collaborators beside him such as Moraíto, Fernando de la Morena and Santiago Lara, among others. The first recording by David Lagos comes after forging a solid career as a vocalist and composer together with dance figures of the likes of Cristina Hoyos, Belén Maya, Joaquín Grilo and Manuela Carrasco. Highlighting his most recent performances is his cante in Basque for Israel Galván amidst Richard Serra’s sculptures at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
