Mexico City is the place which has been
chosen by España Baila Flamenco to kick off its 2004 international tour.
The company will perform the show 'The Power of the Feeling' - with choreographies
by, among others, Paco Mora and Carlos Vilán - at the Metropolitan Theater
in the Mexican capital from May 17th to 31st. Later, the ballet will take this
show to China, where they already had a successful tour last season, also making
stops in Australia and Japan. Towards the end of the year, the company will travel
to Brazil and the United States.

España Baila Flamenco, with a clear
international vocation, shapes up its agenda for the season. The company, whose
artistic director is Luciano Ruiz, begins its 2004 tour with a series of performances
at the Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City from May 17th to 31st. It takes to
the Aztec venue the show 'The Power of the Feeling', a summary of top-rate choreographies
authored by Paco Mora, Carlos Vilán, Marcos Ruiz, Iván Gallego and
Verónica Cantos.
With musical direction by Antonio Amaya and
José Hernández, the group's over twenty dancers perform flamenco
styles such as tangos, alegrías and the martinete, as well as other types
of music by other international authors which merge with flamenco. The live music
is done by a group of five instrumentalists and cantaores.
The company's international agenda includes
performances at many other points on the globe throughout the year. Following
the shows in Mexico, the company is scheduled to travel to China, Australia, Japan,
Brazil and the United States with 'The Power of the Feeling'.
