The flamenco scene keeps on renewing.
That is so reflected in the series ‘Sangre nueva.
Jóvenes flamencos’ (‘New Blood. Young
Flamencos’) which is to be held on October 22nd, 23rd,
24th, 29th, 30th and 31st, 2009 at the Teatro Español
in Madrid. Taking part in the series are cantaores like
Rocío
Márquez, El Piculabe and Ángel Pastor,
guitarists such as Juan Habichuela (the grandson) and Juani
de la Isla, bailaores like La Arquilleja and Selene Muñoz,
and instrumentalists such as pianist Laura de los Ángeles,
among others. The bill is framed with two renowned cantaores.
The opening is to be taken care of by Mayte Martín
with the live version of her new poetry album ‘Al
cantar a Manuel’ and the close is to star veteran
