Segundo Falcón makes his solo debut with
'Un Segundo de Cante'

With a lengthy career already behind him, Segundo Falcón
has now recorded his first solo album. The singer from Seville, recently named
director of the Centro Andaluz de Flamenco, makes his debut with 'Un Segundo de
Cante', on the Karonte recording label. In this, his first album, Falcón
is accompanied by the album's co-producer, Paco Jarana on guitar, and by Antonio
Coronel on percussion. Special guest appearances by singers Arcángel, from
Huelva, and El Jacareño, enhance the album's offerings.
With his first solo album, 'Un Segundo de Cante',
Segundo Falcón has successfully crossed the recording barrier. The album
brings together the vast experience of this singer from El Viso de Alcor (in Seville),
and includes the following flamenco styles: jaleos extremeños, granaínas,
rondeñas, tangos, tientos, fandangos, soleares, and to end, fiesta por
bulerías. The album consists of ten different styles in total, all infused
with a rich and traditional flamenco flavor.
The singer, who recently replaced Calixo Sánchez
as director of the Centro Andaluz de Flamenco, is accompanied in the album by
Paco Jarana on guitar, and by Antonio Coronel on percussion. The recording also
includes some impressive guest appearances such as El Jacareño and Arcángel.
Once 'Un Segundo de Cante' is unveiled to the public
on February 2002, Segundo Falcón will begin the album release tour across
Spain, with stops in Madrid, Valencia, Granada, Logroño, Barakaldo, Vitoria
and Valladolid.
