The flamenco ‘copla’ fashion continues. The new incorporations is now Fernando Soto, a singer, dancer and “peculiar character of flamenco” which presents his first album. The debut album of this artist from Jerez combines ‘copla’ and flamenco inspirations, with a personal overview of the traditional Spanish song. Bambino, Manolo Caracol, La Paquera and Lola Flores are the influences of this new name of the flamenco song, which is sponsored by his cousin Pitingo, with whom he has worked with on many occasions in live shows and studio recordings. In fact, they sing together the song ‘Limosna de amores’, filmed on video as the first single of the CD. The pianist Pedro Ricardo Miño, and guitarists Manuel Parrilla, Juan Carmona and Pedro Pimentel are among the musicians who have collaborated in the recording. And he also has got in touch with the ‘cante jondo’ in a seguiriya accompanied by veteran guitarist Juan Habichuela, and in a grand finale ‘por bulerías’ with guests from his homeland Jerez as Jesús Méndez, El Londro and Melchora Ortega.
