After a year showing on international cinema screens, 'Flamenco, Flamenco' is released on DVD. The film release date is September 14th, 2011. The new film by Carlos Saura, the sequel to the now legendary 'Flamenco', focuses on the new values and trends of this Spanish musical genre, but also on the present maestros. Over ninety minutes of lenght, the film –with photo direction by oscarised Vittorio Storaro and musical direction by Isidro Muñoz-, shows a succession of scenes that synthesize the artistic proposals of guitarists like Paco de Lucía, Manolo Sanlúcar and Tomatito; singers such as José Mercé, Estrella Morente, Niña Pastori, Miguel Poveda and Arcángel; dancers like Sara Baras, Eva Yerbabuena, Israel Galván, Farruquito and Rocío Molina; and musicians such as pianists Dorantes and Diego Amador. The film was shot between October and November, 2009, at the Isla de la Cartuja’s Future Pavilion in Seville. Since then, it has been shown at film events like the Montreal’s 2010 Festival des Films du Monde, the 2010 European Film Festival in Seville and the 2011 Washington International Film Festival.
