New cante and toque talents go
on a tour of Spanish universities. Until May 2010, the program
Flamencos en Ruta AIE 2009/2010 offers some twenty concerts
split between the Complutense University of Madrid, Alcalá
de Henares University and Valladolid University. The artists
on the bill in this edition are cantaores Cristo Heredia,
Juan Ramírez, Anabel Rosado and María
José Pérez, who has debuted this
season with her first album ‘Cante flamenco’,
as well as guitarists Juan Campallo and Antonio Luis López.
In the past edition, up-and-coming artists like Jesús
Corbacho and Rocío Márquez took part in this
tour which brings flamenco closer to new audiences.
