Flamenco Viene del Sur (Flamenco Comes from the South) 2005/2006 brings together on the bill shows by young talents and those of recognized names in flamenco. Cante, baile and toque make up an extensive program which will be held on Tuesdays from November 2005 to April 2006 at Seville's Teatro Central. The current edition includes several new productions, among them, the premiere by Belén Maya and Diego Amador of the show ‘Ensayo nº7’, as well as ‘Otra generación’, which opens the season with La Tremendita and Adela Campallo, ‘Diálogo del Amargo’ by Mario Maya, and ‘El eterno retorno’ by Rocío Molina, premiered at Málaga en Flamenco 2005.

Moreover, the series includes the participation of recognized artists such as guitarist Serranito, cantaores Capullo de Jerez, Diego Clavel and José Menese, and bailaora Merche Esmeralda, who closes the season. Joining them is the new blood of Marina Heredia, Carmen Grilo, Rocío Bazán and Potito, on cante; and Fuensanta la Moneta, on baile. Also scheduled is the performance by the winners of the La Unión 2005 Festival in the categories of cante, toque and baile: Gema Jiménez, Gaspar Rodríguez and Daniel Navarro, respectively.

This program will also be held at the same time at Granada's Alhambra Theater and Málaga's Cánovas Theater (both also managed by the Andalusia Government), although the specific bills for each venue have yet to be confirmed.
