Nacho
Arimany premieres the concert ‘Orígenes’,
an encounter between flamenco and world music. The
Madrilenian percussionist presented a new repertoire of cross-border
music in which the jondo acted as an axis at Fundación
Canal de Madrid Auditorium on Thursday, January 31st, 2008.
Bailaora Concha Jareño - the winner at the last edition
of the 2007 National Contest of Córdoba-, cantaor Antonio
Campos, pianist Pablo Suárez, guitarist Israel Sandoval
and the winds of special guest Jorge
Pardo joined in communion around the ambiences created by
sounds coming from both East and West. And all of it, with the
peculiarity of a setting without a stage per se, in which the
audience surrounds the musicians. The performance by Nacho Arimany,
author of the album ‘World flamenco septet. Silence light’,
was part of the bill Desbordarte, a series of live artistic
creation on stage. Text: Flamenco-world.com/ Photo: Daniel
