Spain's National Ballet turns 25 years old.
Sara Baras, Javier Barón, Joaquín Grilo, Javier Latorre, Víctor Monge Serranito... were a few of the flamenco figures attending on Tuesday, December 9th, 2003 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Spain's National Ballet at its headquarters located at the former slaughterhouses in Madrid. According to Elvira Andrés, its current director, and Andrés Amorós, director of the National Institute of the Performing Arts and Music, the company has become consolidated in this period as "one of the best ambassadors of Spain in the world, since music and dance are universal languages".
