La Fiesta de la Bulería 2009 pays tribute to Parrilla de Jerez. On September 5th, once again at the Plaza de Toros (Bullring), a special edition of the Jerez festival will be held dedicated to La Paquera’s guitarist, who passed away in June. Artists from his family will play a leading role, including flutist Juan Parrilla, guitarist Manuel Parrilla and violinist Bernardo Parrilla, among others. The bill is joined by veteran figures such as cantaor Manuel Moneo, but also young talents like cantaor Jesús Méndez and bailaor Farruco. The icing on the cake will be provided by Diego Carrasco, with a grand finale with scheduled appearances by guests such as Diego Pantoja, Remedios Amaya, Las Peligro and even singer David de María.
