Estrella Morente and El Lebrijano / Premiere of the album 'La boda'

Miguel Campello, “the bug that now sings solo”, starts touring his first album 'Chatarrero'. With a large legion of fans that already knew all the new songs, the singer filled the night club Joy Eslava in Madrid on April 28th, 2011, to premiere, alive, his first solo album. The stage wrapped all the movements of the charismatic artist who sings his personal letters with a unmistakable flamenco accent. Bike wheels, broken toys, TVs without  screens... and in the center, an old refrigerator tuned for him as an stage door to enter in and out his world, and furthermore, giving a new chance to what others throw away. More intimate and soothing than in his past interventions with the group El Bicho -that took a break after ten years of successful career-, the singer (and performer) focused one hundred percent on the new lyrics, a walk through rock, pop and flamenco styles. And he sang backed by Tino di Geraldo (album producer) on bass, Jose Mestre on keyboards, Fernando Favier on percussion, Gaspar Fernández on drums, Pepe Andreu on trumpet and Victor Iniesta on guitar. Tanguillos, tangos and bulerías, plus occasional ‘quejíos’, put flamenco notes to a concert that was centered on the single ‘Chatarrero’ ('Scrap Dealer'), which contains a stunning tribute to Camaron (watch video). After this starting in the capital, the tour goes on different Spanish cities: Barcelona (April 30th), Valladolid (May 21st), Manchester (May 26th), Sevilla (May 27th) and Valencia (June 24th).
