‘Son de ayer’ at the Teatro Español in Madrid.
The concerts will be held on September 5th and 6th, 2008 in
the small hall of the outstanding theater, with two shows each
day (one at 8:30 p.m. and another at 10:30 p.m.). In those four
performances, Canito is scheduled to synthesize the contents
of his first solo album. He is accompanied by Pablo Suárez
on piano, Daniel Suárez ‘Sena’ on percussion,
Juan de Pura on solo vocals, and Samara Losada, Vanesa Losada
and Jacob Quirós on choruses. A special collaboration
will be contributed by Sevillian bailaora Rafaela Carrasco,
for whose company the guitarist is a usual performer and composer.
Moreover, he has a group of exceptional guest artists, some
of the family members who took part in the recording providing
traditional flamenco with hues from Extremadura: Adela García
‘La Capachera’, Juan Suárez ‘Cachapín’,
Dámaso Suárez and Ramón el Cumbreño.
