Joaquín Cortés concludes his Spain tour in Seville, while he gets ready for the season in Broadway. The Córdoba-born bailaor presents ‘Mi soledad’ at La Maestranza Bullring on September 29th. Though the performance coincides with the Bienal de Flamenco 2006, the artist produces this gala outside of the festival since, as he explained at a press conference, “we even tried to lower our price, but you can see that I must not interest the Bienal”. With this performance before the Sevillian audience, Joaquín Cortés finalizes a fifteen-show tour around Spain, which has made stops at such emblematic places as the Bullring in Ronda. Now he kicks off his international tour, with engagements already signed until early 2008. After performing in Mexico and Peru, he is scheduled to be on the bill at Broadway's Palace Theater for three months, a real milestone for flamenco. Afterwards, the company is going to tour around the United States, with some thirty galas throughout the country, Europe and America.
