'Pastora 1922' at Patio de los Aljibes de Granada

Morente success in 'Pastora 1922' premiere. The Granada-born
singer presented last Tuesday 29th June, 2004 her new show dedicated
to the memory and art of La
Niña de los Peines, as one of the main atractions of
Festival de Música y Danza de Granada. The concert took
place in the Patio de los Aljibes of Granada, where in 1922 the
Concurso de Cante Jondo (first flamenco contest) was originally
celebrated. The artist was accompanied by twenty two musicians,
among others, guitarists Pepe Habichuela and José Miguel
Carmona. The show, directed by Enrique Morente, was filmed for
a live DVD and CD to be released next autumn.
