Ángeles Gabaldón premieres ‘Volantes de jondura’ at Seville’s Flamenco Thursdays. The Sevillian bailaora returns to the annual series in Seville on February 8th, 2007 with a new production. ‘Volantes de jondura’ shows the artist’s more classical side, “without aspiring to more than to mirror her own dance”. The repertoire includes baile por guajiras, tientos and alegrías, which she performs accompanied by Cádiz-born bailaor David Morales. The group is completed by Juan Reina and Miguel Rosendo on cante, and Rafael Rodríguez on guitar. At the same time, the Ángeles Gabaldón Company is ironing out the final details of its upcoming premiere at Festival de Jerez 2007 of its show, ‘Femenino plural’.
