Carmen Linares shares solidarity with Miguel Campello and Luis Pastor at the Festival Flamencos por Gambo 2011. The cantaora, sponsor of this charity initiative, converses with the ex-leader of ElBicho and with the Extremadura-born singer-songwriter in a gala which will take place on Thursday, November 10th at the CC.OO.’s Auditorio Marcelino Camacho in Madrid. The program will open with Linares offering some unpublished tracks with lyrics by Miguel Hernández and Lorca together with Pablo Suárez on piano as well as Eduardo Pacheco and Pedro Barragán on guitar. The program will be continued by Pastor, who will perform some of his emblematic songs, including his latest creations revolving around José Saramago. Campello, accompanied by his guitarist Víctor Iniesta and percussionist Tino di Geraldo, will present some of the songs from his first solo album, ‘Chatarrero’. To finish, as the organization discloses, “a grand finale por bulerías de Gambo” with everyone together on stage is expected. Proceeds from the triple concert will go to the Project for Providing Pharmacy Service at Gambo Hospital in Ethiopia which, with the healthcare coverage of one million people, has become a center of reference in the south of the country. In this way, the Festival Ethio-Flamenco El Alto concludes which began on October 21st with the performance by Carmen Linares in Addis-Abebba (Ethiopia).
