El Pele and Vicente Amigo, Paco de Lucía, Raimundo Amador, El Lebrijano and Enrique Morente are the candidates to receive the Grammy Latino 2004 for ‘the best flamenco album’. Besides, the cantaor Diego el Cigala has been nominated in five categories with ‘Lágrimas negras’ -recorded with the cuban pianist Bebo Valdés- among which are ‘recording of the year’, ‘album of the year’ and ‘best tropical traditional album’. Another nomination related to flamenco is that of producer Javier Limón for his work in albums such as ‘Cositas buenas’, by Paco de Lucía, or ‘El pequeño reloj’, by Enrique Morente, among others. Spanish music is also represented in this edition of the awards -which will be held in Los Angeles next September 1st- by artists like Serrat, Rosario, David Bisbal or Estopa.
