Cañizares opens the Seville’s Flamenco Thursdays 2011 with the concert 'Cuerdas del alma’. The guitar opens the spring agenda of the series, which take place from March 17th to May 26th at the Sala Joaquín Turina in Seville. The program opens with the live presentation of the latest album, ‘Cuerdas del alma’, by Cañizares, with his sextet, featuring the dancer Ángel Muñoz. Starting that night, every Thursday follows with singing, dancing and guitar shows staged at this theater, with proposals like the cante recital of Jesús Méndez, ‘Heritage flamenco’ by singers Inés Bacán and Tomás de Perrate, and dance shows such as those of Fernando Romero, El Junco and Miguel Vargas, among others. Flamenco Thursdays have been providing for years a permanent weekly flamenco program in Seville, which alternate acclaimed figures with up-and-coming talents.
