London goes flamenco. Summer in the city of the Thames kicks off with a gathering of quejíos and zapateados. On the one hand, cantaora Estrella Morente and guitarist Tomatito are scheduled to perform at the Barbican on Sunday, July 3rd, within the program ‘World & Roots’. On the other hand, bailaor Joaquín Cortés presents ‘Mi soledad’ on Saturday, July 2nd and Sunday the 3rd at Royal Albert Hall, the stage where he recorded the DVD ‘Live’ three years ago. To get things started, the London-based company Escuela de Baile offers its new show ‘Flamenco Spectacular’ on Friday, July 1st and Saturday the 2nd at the Peacock Theatre of Sadler's Wells, with the participation of Cádiz-born bailaor Marcos Flores.
