Málaga
en Flamenco 2005 enters the home stretch. The Málaga
festival faces its last two weeks with activity split between
different spots in Andalusia. The show ‘Málaga’
travels to Córdoba on October 26th, Linares (Jaén)
on October 28th, Granada on November 4th and Estepona on November
10th. José
Mercé offers a performance on October 31st at Benalmádena's
Torrequebrada Casino, while other productions continue to be
put on such as ‘El eterno retorno’ (‘The Eternal
Return’) by Rocío Molina in Fuengirola (November
6th), ‘A mi tierra’ (‘To My Land’) by
Calixto Sánchez in Ardales (October 28th) and Álora
(November 5th), and ‘Paisanos’ (‘Countrymen’)
in several towns in the province. The closing show, scheduled
for Saturday, November 12th at Prince of Asturias Auditorium
in Torremolinos, will join ‘Dos generaciones’ (‘Two
Generations’) of artists, with the participation of Chano
Lobato, Matilde Coral, La Tremendita and Rocío Molina,
among others. Meanwhile, a full program of small-format performances,
film showings and lectures are being held at several places
in the province of the Costa del Sol.
