Flamenco cantaor
Manuel
de Paula releases the album ‘Como oro en paño’.
Bulerías, tangos, soleá, seguiriyas and cantes
de levante are some of the styles performed by the Lebrija-born
artist on this record produced by guitarist Pedro
Sierra and published with his label La Voz del Flamenco.
The album, which also includes poems by Lorca and Machado, is
closed with a tribute to bailaor Mario Maya, whose company Paula
worked in. Besides guitar, instruments take part in the recording
like the bass by Antonio García, percussion by Pablo
Estévez, keyboards by José Marín and the
special collaboration of José Valencia in the choruses.
As an extra, the CD includes a video track with an interview
with the cantaor.
