José Menese opens the program of Flamenco Viene del Sur 2011 at the Gran Teatro in Córdoba. The flamenco series programmed in the eight Andalusian capitals, has scheduled three shows in Cordoba's main theater. The first is offered by the singer from La Puebla on Friday 25th March. Accompanied on guitar by Antonio Carrión, he will offer a journey that goes from the soleá and seguiriya, to mariana and tientos, petenera and farruca. The show is included in the series Cosmopoética 2011, because of the many ties that the singer has with poetry, especially that written for him by Francisco Moreno Galván and that of the Spanish Golden Age, which became cante on his album 'A mis soledades voy, de mis soledades vengo’. The other two appointments of Flamenco Viene del Sur 2011 in Cordoba are Rubén Olmo Dance Company, that will present the dance production 'Tranquilo alboroto' on Saturday 30th April, and the singer Manuel Lombo, with his show 'Lombo Flamenco’ on Friday 13th May. Flamenco activity will continue at the Gran Teatro during the month of July, being the epicenter of the Festival de la Guitarra de Cordoba 2011, with a wide program of events and courses.
