del Mar Moreno and Joaquín Grilo inaugurate Nuits Flamencas
Châteauvallon 2007. Two different perspectives
of flamenco dancing from Jerez is the flamenco to be offered
at the historical French cultural venue of Châteauvallon,
located in the southern town of Ollioules. On the one hand,
the María
del Mar Moreno Company presents the show ‘Jerez Puro.
Esencia’ on July 27th, in which the bailaora has Antonio
Malena on cante. Joaquín
Grilo will also appear at the amphitheater on Saturday the
28th with his storyline-free show ‘Grilo’. The new
festival, whose artistic director is French guitarist Juan Carmona,
also offers performances by the groups of Melinda Sala and Manuel
Delgado at the Théâtre Couvert, workshops and exhibits.
