Ojos de Brujo, 2007 Flamenco Latin Grammy winner

Ojos de Brujo, 2007 Flamenco Latin Grammy winner. Heterodoxy prevailed in the eighth edition of the latin music awards. The Catalan group won the prize in category number thirty-two, specifically for flamenco and the only one devoted to a Spanish genre. Competing with the band, which is also nominated for the BBC World Music Awards, was cantaor Miguel Poveda with ‘Tierra de calma’, the group Son de la Frontera with ‘Cal’, French guitarist Juan Carmona with ‘Sinfonía flamenca’ and the new band Calima with ‘Azul’. Tomatito, Paco de Lucía and Diego el Cigala received this award in previous editions.
