Paco
de Lucía is a smash hit at Málaga en Flamenco
2005. The guitar maestro offered the most awaited performance
of the new festival at La Malagueta Bullring. After enlarging
the venue's capacity, some six thousand people attended the
concert, welcoming the musician with a standing ovation. He
went back over great compositions from his discography, stopping
off at the end with his latest album, 'Cositas buenas'. Duquende,
La Tana and Montse Cortés provided the voice for the
great flamenco guitarist. There are nearly two months remaining
of the festival, which continues this week with the premiere
of bailaora Rocío Molina, the performance by Calixto
Sánchez and 'Viaje al sur' by the Andalusia Flamenco
Ballet, among other shows. Full
