The 30th Córdoba Guitar Festival
opens up frontiers in the series 'Passport flamenco'. They
all have two things in common: being born outside Spain and the
love for flamenco. And the festival has given them the chance
to show how they feel it. The series, which was held in Sala Orive
from July 16th to 19th, showed four proposals with visas from
Brazil, Palestine, Chile and Finland. Brazilian guitarist Flavio
Rodrigues made a live presentation of his first album 'Anyway',
accompanied by singer Pedro Obregon, among other artists. The
guitarist and lute player of Palestinian origin Amir-John Haddad,
former member of Radio
Tarifa, performed his concert 'Pasando por Tabernas' next
to the Almeyara Flamenco Quintet, which features artists such
as singer Eva Durán and dancer Inmaculada Ortega. Veteran
Chilean guitarist Carlos Ledermann brought ‘Gotas de anís',
accompanied on second guitar and percussion by Gustavo López.
And the Finnish guitarist Raúl Mannola, with a sextet ensemble,
showed the compositions of his recent album ‘Guitarra
adentro’.
