The ‘Encuentros
en Casa de América’ season features both Niña
Pastori and Montse Cortés. With a mission to “start
a revival of concerts in small auditoriums,” Casa de América
in Madrid has put together a season of music including flamenco
performances by cantaoras Niña
Pastori (11th November 2004) and Montse
Cortés (25th November 2004), both of whom will take
the opportunity to give a taster of their forthcoming albums.
The program, which kicks off on 30th September with a screening
of the new movie by Fernando Trueba ‘El milagro de Candeal’,
also features concerts by singer-songwriter Pedro Guerra, by the
groups Chambao and Pastora, and by pianist Arturo Pareja Obregón,
among others.
