el Pipa inaugurates the Andalucía Flamenca 2007 Series
in Madrid. The Jerez-born bailaor returns to the capital
with the show ‘De tablao’, premiered last year at
the Caja Madrid Festival, which will be on the bill at Teatro
Gran Vía from January 16th to 21st. After this first performance,
the bill promoted by the Agency for the Development of Flamenco
(a public body of the Junta de Andalucía) continues with
the shows by the company directed by Mario Maya, Pastora Galván,
Isabel Bayón, Antonio Canales, El Cabrero, Manuela Carrasco,
Tomatito and Carmen Linares, among others. The festival offers
a continuous flamenco program in the Spanish capital until March
4th, at the same time as the Flamenco
Viene del Sur 2007 series in the regional theaters in Seville,
Granada and Málaga.
