Potito unveils the album ‘Barrio Alto’ in the flamenco season at Madrid's Sabatini Gardens. The vocalist from Seville took advantage of this spectacular stage in front of the Royal Palace not only to present some tracks from his new album, but also to revive his repertoire of traditional cante flamenco. He went from the most profound right through to the most light-hearted of styles. The recital began with an immersion in soleá and seguiriya, revealing his true credentials: maturity, competence and that distinctive timbre - one of the most authentic and solid voices to be found today. He began to loosen up with fandangos, accompanied then by the Porrina brothers: Paquete on guitar, and Ramón and Piraña on cajón. Even the wind tried to sing in an evening of young cantaores which was kicked off by the Madrileño Israel Paz - two words seldom seen side-by-side these days - also launching a new album: ‘Corazón flamenco’.
