Fernando Belmonte, Joaquín Grilo and Olga Pericet, prizewinners at Festival de Jerez 2010. Córdoba-born bailaora Olga Pericet has been named by critics as winner of the Revelation Prize, sponsored by Bar Juanito, for her performance in the show ‘Bailes alegres para personas tristes’ by Belén Maya. Jerez-born bailaor Joaquín Grilo has won the Critics’ Award, backed by the Flamenco Institute of Jerez, for his show ‘Leyenda personal’. And the tribute to veteran maestro Fernando Belmonte, entitled ‘Reencuentro’ and which closed the event, is the show chosen by spectators to receive the People’s Choice Award, called by Diario de Jerez with a daily vote at the theater itself. At the past edition of the Jerez festival, the winners were three bailaoras: María Pagés, Rocío Molina and Concha Jareño.
